Driftless Region Protective Services, LLC is a small privately owned business geared towards providing individualized training and sales to our customers. We are a one stop shop able to meet all of your needs. Our vision is to supply a safe and informative setting for you, whether you are a new firearm owner/shooter or a seasoned one. We acquired our Federal Firearms License (FFL) to be able to provide a full circle of services to our clients. Firearms safety, education and purchasing a firearm is a very serious investment that shouldn't be taken lightly or made impulsively, so why not get informed on how to do it correctly the first time! Driftless RPS is here to assist you every step of the way and to be here for you afterwards to continue your training as a safe and responsible firearm owner.

Paula J. Hengel
Paula's first shots were fired at the age of 10 and she has been hooked ever since. In 2005 she started competitive shooting in USPSA and then in GSSF matches. Along the way, Paula became a firearms instructor. She will tell you she became an instructor "by accident" and how it sparked a major passion for helping other women learn to shoot. Paula doesn't just teach existing materials, she creates trainings, many of which are taught in a women's only perspective. Paula has conducted countless introduction classes to women, one on one private lessons, permit to carry classes and many other custom trainings. Paula's current certifications are listed below:

Brian J. swartling
Brian has been shooting since the young age of 12 when he was first taken on a squirrel hunt. Brian's passion for competitive shooting started in the early 1990's with the Glock Sport Shooting Foundation (GSSF). Since that time, Brian has been involved in many different shooting disciplines, including: USPSA, IDPA, 3 gun, bowling pin matches, trap and NRL22 matches. He is the past GSSF Match Director for the Western Wisconsin Glock Classic at the Holmen Rod & Gun Club. Brian started out instructing back in 1998 with the MN DNR teaching Youth Firearms Safety and Advanced Hunter Education classes. He is a certified instructor through the USCCA and NRA. In addition to the certifications listed below, Brian has enjoyed teaching private lessons with shooters of all skill levels, as well as, sharing his extensive knowledge and skill as a pistol caliber reloader. As an extension of his passion for shooting, Brian has designed and fabricated many Bianchi style plate racks for various organizations.
